Warner McBride

Chairman McBride spoke on Sid Salter's radio show this afternoon. He did a good job explaining why transportation funds are targeted in years the Legislature has a shortfall. Point 1 - it is the largest budget behind education and medicaid. Point 2 - it is basically all in one area so it makes it easier on the Legislature (another budget similar to transportation is IHL). Chairman mentioned the importance of leaving these funds alone this years because of the many transportation needs.
